Kenny Dickerson’s friends affectionately call him “The Mad Hatter.” Since childhood he has loved creating things and his parents encouraged his creativity. The lightheartedness of his walking sticks, paintings and sculptures suggests a spirit less concerned with salvation than with enjoyment world. His creations are made of sticks, fabric, parts of furniture and anything else he can find. On top of a bamboo shaft cum walking stick is the head of a rabbit with dreadlocks that are like Dickerson’s own. The face of a timepiece is below a top hat surrounded by bunny ears–an astute interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. “I like chaos for some reason,” Kenny Dickerson remarked with a grin.
